Evelyn's Birth Story

This gorgeous mama is my sister Kylie ! I was so excited to photograph the birth of my adorable niece. I always feel so honored to be a part of a day that is so special and capture these once in a lifetime moments! My sister and I live about 4 hours from each other but I wasn't about to miss this birthday party. The cool thing about documenting you sisters birth is getting to see and be involved in other aspects of the day like getting my niece Afton ready to her mamma and later her brand new little sister she had been anticipating for so long. Here are lots of my favorites throughout the two days that ended up being Evenlyn's birth story. 

She was in labor for 16 hours before they decided that a C-section would be best as baby's heartbeat would drop with every contraction and mom was only dilated to a 4. I wasn't able to be in the OR but I was right there when they wheeled them back into the delivery room. She was born at 3am on the 14th of October and she was as perfect as could be! The next few pictures were taken a few hours later when Afton was finally able to meet her sweet sister.
